Free ATS Resume Checker

Most "ATS score" tools invent a percentage from keyword-matching. This one actually opens your .docx file and checks it against the five documented ways parsers mangle or drop resume content. Free, no signup, nothing stored.

FAQ

What does "real structural parse" mean?

We actually open your .docx file and inspect its XML for the specific elements documented to break ATS parsing — tables, multi-column layout, embedded images, text boxes, and header/footer content. Most "ATS score" tools online just count keywords and invent a percentage; this reads the file structure directly.

Why would a table or image break my resume?

ATS software extracts text in document order. Tables are often read out of order or dropped entirely. Text inside an image (like a name in a logo) is pixels, not text — invisible to a parser. Text boxes float outside the normal document flow and are frequently skipped.

Is my resume uploaded or stored anywhere?

No. The file is parsed in memory to run the checks and then discarded — nothing is saved.

It found a problem — now what?

Move that content into plain paragraphs, or start from a template already verified to pass every check.
